A Gift For Any Occasion
In the past, weve given our family, friends and neighbors a little package of freshly made home baked goods for Christmas. Baking bread and making Buckeyes for a lot of people can be so time consuming, especially because there are so many other things to do for Christmas in December.
So last year and this year Mr. DIY made some handcrafted soap with different wonderful natural ingredients and wonderfully smelling essential oils. You can read how we made it HERE if you missed that post.
One of the best things about making soap instead of baking Christmas treats is that it can be done several months ahead of time.

Heres how the soap looks after its out of the mold and cut. I had some dried lavender seeds from when I grew it in our garden and Mr. DIY added them to the recipe.

Mr. DIY also made a batch of soap with Rose Geranium oil, as well as some unscented bars.
If you dont want to make soap yourself, you can purchase handcrafted soap locally or online. Most are between 5 and 6 dollars a bar.
I wrapped Mr. DIYs soap in a celophane bag with crinkle paper, some tissue paper and tied it all up with a black and white gingham ribbon.
I made the black paper tags out of black cardstock, punched a hole in it and wrote Merry on the tag with a white chalk pen.
You could write anything on the tag though...
The gingham ribbon would be cute for any occasion. You could change the color of the ribbon and tag, giving it any look you want.
I put together a tray of wrapped soap gifts for our church group.
We hope you and your family had a merry Christmas and wish you many wonderful blessings in 2016.
Pam
